## Before creating the note

- [ ] The actual date or range is confirmed by a published-page check, send report or release record.
- [ ] The title and description say what changed, not what supposedly caused a metric to move.
- [ ] The note is understandable across the GA4 property, not just one chart.
- [ ] It contains no attendee name, email, ticket ID, order ID or secret link.
- [ ] The editor has the required GA4 property role; if not, assign a qualified owner.

## After creating the note

- [ ] It appears on a report line graph for the intended date.
- [ ] The comparison keeps the same metric, period and measurement setup.
- [ ] Visits are not labeled registrations, orders or attendance.
- [ ] Other sends, site changes, outages and tagging changes nearby are recorded.
- [ ] A second reviewer checked the source evidence and removed duplicate or inaccurate notes.

**Interpretation to carry into the event report:**

Observed change: __________

Evidence supporting this observation: __________

What the data cannot establish: __________

Next edition's decision or experiment: __________
