# Attendee badge printing — desk card (English)

Use a completed copy in your controlled operations folder. Use fictional test records for the proof; keep live attendee details in the authorized registration system.

## Station and badge proof

| Item | Record before doors open |
| --- | --- |
| Event / date / desk / lead | ______________________________ |
| Template version / approved printed fields | ______________________________ |
| Printer / connection / stock size and orientation | ______________________________ |
| Print-only retry route / fallback desk | ______________________________ |

- [ ] Printed a sample on the actual stock and checked alignment, legibility and any code with the intended reader.
- [ ] Proofed a long name, accented characters, a blank optional field and each relevant ticket type with fictional records.
- [ ] Confirmed exactly which action marks admission and whether printing is automatic, optional or separate in this event's configuration.
- [ ] Reopened the test record and verified its check-in state. Tested a refused ticket without issuing a badge.

## Live handoff

For each attendee, identify the exact event/date/ticket record, apply the approved entry rule, follow the rehearsed print sequence, read the badge, then hand it to the correct person. A badge on paper is not a substitute for checking the authoritative ticket state.

## Exception decision

| Observation | Desk response | Recorded outcome |
| --- | --- | --- |
| No output or misalignment | Check the existing check-in state **before** any rescan; inspect printer, stock and layout; use a print-only retry if supported. | __________ |
| Wrong printed detail | Check the approved source record; correct through an authorized route and proof again. Retain spoiled output away from guests. | __________ |
| Refused or unclear ticket | Stop printing; send to the exception lead. Do not infer admission from a badge. | __________ |
| Replacement requested | Find the earlier badge record, note the reason and operator, and follow the event's lost-badge/access rule. Do not assume reprinting disables the old copy. | __________ |

Shift handoff: stock remaining ______ ; open printer faults ______ ; unresolved badge cases and owner ______ .
