# Event domain registrar account handover card

Copy one card per **registered domain**. Use it only with the organization's authorized domain owner and the registrar's current process. This is an operational handover record, not proof of legal ownership or permission to take over someone else's account. Keep passwords, recovery codes, transfer codes, payment details and identity documents out of this sheet.

## Current control

| Question | Verified answer / evidence reference | Checked by and date |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Registered domain and registrar | | |
| Current registrar account reference (not password) | | |
| Current login mailbox: personal, named work, or role-based? | | |
| Registrant contact in registrar records; organization evidence reference | | |
| Who can renew, change DNS and request support? | | |
| Where do change and renewal notices arrive? | | |
| Does the contact mailbox depend on this same domain? | | |
| Billing owner and renewal method (no card details) | | |

## Target control and provider route

| Decision | Event-specific answer / owner |
| --- | --- |
| Authorized organization decision-maker | |
| Target organization-controlled account or role mailbox | |
| Independent recovery/notification route, if provider supports it | |
| Second trusted administrator, if provider supports separate access | |
| Registrar support article or case number for this exact change | |
| Does this require a contact update, account move, or registrant change? | |
| Expected approval/verification steps and owner | |
| Who confirms billing and renewal notices after the change? | |

Do not assume that changing an email address moves the registration or changes registrant rights. Ask the registrar which operation is required and have qualified help review disputed control.

## Controlled execution

| Step | Evidence / outcome | Owner | Date and time |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Approve the handover and record provider instructions | | | |
| Confirm target mailbox and recovery channel work | | | |
| Complete registrar-specific change and required confirmations | | | |
| Recheck registrant contact, DNS, renewal and billing settings | | | |
| Confirm change and renewal notices reach the intended people | | | |
| Remove obsolete personal access only after new control is verified | | | |
| Schedule next account and contact review | | | |

If the organization cannot establish authority or the current holder disputes the change, stop and use the registrar's formal support process. Do not share credentials to bypass it.
