# Event website broken-link audit and repair log

Copy this sheet for each audit. Do not add passwords, payment details or attendee records. A status code alone does not tell you whether the destination serves the attendee's task.

**Event and edition:** [name / date]
**Website and locale scope:** [domains, language paths, external checkout]
**Audit owner:** [name or role]
**Audit date and time zone:** [date / zone]
**Trigger:** [pre-sale / announcement / migration / postponement / routine review]
**Evidence location:** [restricted link to crawler export, screenshots or support case]

## Source-link inventory and repair decisions

| ID | Source page, email, QR or partner | Published link | Attendee task | Observed status and visible result | Priority and reason | Decision and approved destination | Fix owner | Retest source, device and date | Retest result / closeout |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| BL-01 | [where link appears] | [exact URL] | [register / venue / ticket / other] | [HTTP code and what visitor sees] | [impact and event timing] | [correct source / redirect to equivalent / replace / remove / investigate] | [name] | [original source, device, date] | [result and reviewer] |
| BL-02 | [where link appears] | [exact URL] | [task] | [code and screen] | [reason] | [decision and destination] | [name] | [source, device, date] | [result and reviewer] |

## Check the attendee journey, not only the URL list

- [ ] Event details, date, schedule and venue links open in each published language.
- [ ] Accessibility and arrival information remains reachable.
- [ ] Registration and ticket calls to action reach the correct event and edition.
- [ ] External checkout handoff shows the expected event identity; no real purchase is needed for this link check.
- [ ] Ticket confirmation, reminders, support links and any printed QR destinations are checked.
- [ ] Images, PDFs, maps and external reference links are checked.
- [ ] Removed pages without a relevant replacement return a genuine 404/410 rather than an unrelated homepage redirect.
- [ ] The repaired link has been followed from its original source on an appropriate device.

**Open provider issue or temporary attendee fallback:** [support reference and public contact path / none]
**Unresolved links and owners:** [IDs, next action and due date / none]
**Reviewer sign-off:** [name, date and evidence reference]

Use the website's actual behavior as the immediate retest. Search Console indexing reports may update later. Follow your organization's publishing and incident rules for approval of any redirect or external checkout change.
