# Event calendar RSS feed: scope and release worksheet (English)

Use this for a feed your calendar platform actually publishes. A feed is a stream of public web items, not an iCalendar subscription or a guaranteed immediate alert.

## 1. Feed decision

- Public calendar URL:
- Feed URL:
- Feed publisher / platform and current help page:
- Scope: all public events / series / venue / category:
- Audience and reason to offer the feed:
- Calendar editor:
- Feed configuration owner:
- Approved event-facts source:
- Date and version:
- Normal HTML event-list URL retained for visitors without a reader:

## 2. Scope and feed fields

| Question | Decision / observed behavior | Owner / evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Are drafts and internal events excluded? | | |
| How are cancelled events shown? | | |
| When do past events leave the feed, if at all? | | |
| Which fields appear in an item? | | |
| Does each item link to a maintained public event page? | | |
| How do repeated titles show the correct occurrence? | | |
| Where is the approved event date, time and timezone visible? | | |
| Does the platform supply a stable item ID? | | |
| What happens after editing an item? | | |

RSS `pubDate` means **item publication date**, not the event start. Inspect the readable item and its event-page destination separately.

## 3. Public feed and reader check

| Case | Source event URL | Expected item / status | Feed item observed | Reader item observed | Destination and phone check | Corrective owner / retest |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| New public event | | | | | | |
| Same title, different occurrence | | | | | | |
| Changed date or venue | | | | | | |
| Cancelled event | | | | | | |
| Past event | | | | | | |
| Private draft (must be absent) | | | | | | |

- Channel title, site link and description checked:
- Feed URL opens without login:
- Date/time/timezone agrees with approved source:
- Ticket or other external links checked directly:
- Safe sample edit timestamp:
- Feed change observed at:
- Reader change observed at:
- Observed delay and any provider limitation:

## 4. Publication and maintenance

- Feed link label and placement on public calendar:
- Scope explained beside the link:
- HTML calendar/list fallback confirmed:
- Feed failure or URL change owner:
- Next review date and triggers (new, changed, cancelled, archived event; provider change):
