# Held-seat release ledger

Use one copy per event, performance, and approved release batch. This English worksheet records stock state only; keep attendee names, ticket codes, and payment details in the provider's authorized records.

## Approval and scope

| Field | Record |
| --- | --- |
| Event / performance / date | |
| Hold reference and purpose (house / artist / production) | |
| Inventory owner / approving person / approval reference | |
| Operator and second reviewer | |
| Ticket type; section, row, exact seat IDs **or** GA quantity | |
| Approved destination: **public sale** or **direct issue from hold** | |
| Provider and supported action to be used | |
| Other active holds / recent orders checked | |
| Out-of-scope or disputed seats and exception owner | |

Do not include accessible or companion-seat release decisions in this ledger. Route those cases through the event's separate review.

## Before-and-after inventory

Use the same event, performance, ticket type, and provider view for both snapshots. Record the time of each snapshot.

| State | Before | After | Expected movement / explanation |
| --- | ---: | ---: | --- |
| Approved total capacity | | | **No change** |
| Held in this hold | | | |
| Held in other holds | | | **No unintended change** |
| Publicly available | | | Increase only if public release was approved |
| Sold or issued | | | Increase only if direct issue or sale occurred |
| Other provider state (name it) | | | |

| Exact seat ID or GA batch | Before state | Approved destination | Provider action / response | After state | Buyer or recipient view checked? |

## Verification and closure

- [ ] The live hold list contains only the intended remaining seats or quantity.
- [ ] **Public release:** the exact seats appear in buyer checkout and the box-office view; unrelated held and sold seats stay unavailable.
- [ ] **Direct issue:** the intended ticket entitlement, seat assignment, and admission record exist for the correct performance; the seats were not unintentionally exposed to public sale.
- [ ] Before and after stock movements reconcile without changing approved capacity.
- [ ] Sales and entrance teams know which seats are public and which were issued from hold.
- [ ] Every mismatch has a named owner; affected inventory stays paused until corrected.

| Closure field | Record |
| --- | --- |
| Final remaining hold / exact released or issued seat IDs | |
| Buyer checkout and box-office check time | |
| Issue or exception reference and owner | |
| Operator completion time | |
| Second-review sign-off and time | |
