# Event favicon source and release sheet

Editable worksheet · English · one copy per website host or event-site theme

The browser-tab icon, a social sharing image and an event poster serve different surfaces. Verify the actual host and platform behavior before replacing a shared icon.

## 1. Approved source

| Field | Fill in |
|---|---|
| Event edition / organizer brand | |
| Mark owner and approved source file | |
| Square icon file and format | |
| File URL or platform media reference | |
| Previewed at small tab size on light background? | |
| Previewed at small tab size on dark background? | |
| Poster text and fine detail removed? | |
| Previous icon / rollback file retained at | |

## 2. Scope before replacement

| Surface or page | Hostname / platform | Who controls the setting? | Expected icon | Current result | Action owner |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Event site's home page | | | | | |
| Current event page | | | | | |
| Existing prior event page | | | | | |
| New page created from reusable theme | | | | | |
| Separately hosted ticket page, if any | | | | | |

**Google Search scope:** Google describes one favicon per hostname. A browser-tab setting offered on an individual event page does not guarantee a distinct Google Search favicon for that page's subdirectory. Record the hostname that Google can see; do not promise per-event search icons on a shared host.

## 3. Publish and verify

| Check | Evidence / result | Checked by and date |
|---|---|---|
| Builder's documented favicon/site-metadata control or HTML `rel="icon"` reference used | | |
| Change published; affected pages identified | | |
| Current event URL opened in a fresh desktop tab | | |
| Current event URL opened in a fresh phone tab | | |
| Theme tested with a newly created page, if applicable | | |
| Older live event pages checked separately | | |
| Ticket destination still correct | | |
| Previous icon available if rollback is needed | | |
| Search appearance checked later, without assuming immediate recrawl or guaranteed display | | |

Decision: **release / revise icon / investigate platform scope / wait for search recrawl**
