# Green hosting claim: event-site evidence audit

This worksheet checks a claim about specific digital services. It is not an event carbon-footprint assessment or an assurance opinion.

**Event / edition:** [ ] **Audit owner:** [ ] **Review date:** [ ]

## Scope and provider chain

| Service and attendee path | Contracted vendor | Upstream hosting or data center | Region | Is it covered by the claim? | Evidence owner |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Public website and media | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] |
| CDN / edge | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] |
| Registration forms | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] |
| Checkout and tickets | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] |
| Event email | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] |

## Evidence review

| Provider and service | Verification listing / link | Reporting year and region | Energy sourcing or assurance basis | Annual or hourly matching | Reviewer / status |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [ ] | [ ] | [ ] | [self-generation / direct purchase / tariff / certificate / other] | [ ] | [ ] |

Ask whether the documents are current, region-specific and tied to the provider actually serving the path. The [Green Web Foundation's current criteria](https://www.thegreenwebfoundation.org/tools/green-web-dataset/get-verified/disclosures/) explicitly exclude carbon offsets as a verification basis. Annual matching does not mean that every hour of grid electricity is fossil-free.

**Green Web Check URL and date:** [ ] **Result and matched provider:** [ ] **Mismatch requiring explanation:** [ ]

The [Green Web Check method](https://www.thegreenwebfoundation.org/support/how-does-the-green-web-check-work/) associates the domain's DNS/IP route with a verified provider. A grey result can mean missing linkage or evidence. Check the origin and CDN chain with the vendor.

## Publication decision

**Exact, approved statement:** [ ] **Scope excluded from the statement:** [ ] **Reviewer:** [ ] **Next review date / change trigger:** [ ]

Use a statement limited to the verified provider, service, region and check date. Do not turn a hosting badge into a claim that the entire event is carbon-neutral or that every hour used fossil-free electricity.
