# Public event recap: editable outline and approval worksheet

Copy this Markdown file for one event edition. Replace brackets with confirmed facts and remove any prompt that does not apply. Section 2 is a draft for the public page; sections 1, 3 and 4 are internal working records. This file does not publish a page or grant permission to use media.

## 1. Editorial brief (internal)

| Decision | Confirmed entry |
| --- | --- |
| Event name, edition, actual dates and place/format | [ ] |
| Primary reader: attendee / person who missed it / prospective attendee | [ ] |
| Reader's task after reading | [ ] |
| One-sentence public takeaway | [ ] |
| Final programme or event-page version used | [ ] |
| Draft writer, factual reviewer and final approver | [ ] |
| Planned public URL, publication date and correction owner | [ ] |

**Scope:** This recap covers [two or three verified themes]. It links to [approved programme / session resources] for material outside that scope. Internal financial results, unapproved attendee comments and private contact details are outside the public draft.

## 2. Public page draft

# [Specific title naming this event edition and its subject]

**[Event name and edition] took place [date] at/in [place or format].** [One verified moment that conveys what readers can learn or revisit.] [Why this matters to the chosen reader.]

## [Takeaway 1 written as a useful heading]

[What actually happened or was demonstrated? Attribute the idea to the right speaker or session. Link an approved source if available.]

[What can the reader use now? Name an approved resource or next action if one exists.]

## [Takeaway 2 written as a useful heading]

[Describe another confirmed moment, question, example or outcome. Keep a proposal by a speaker separate from a conclusion by the organizer.]

[Optional approved quotation with speaker attribution, or an accurate paraphrase. Remove this line if no quotation is cleared.]

## [Optional takeaway 3]

[Include only if it adds a distinct, supported idea. Do not turn the page into an unselective chronology.]

## Continue from here

[Link to available, approved slides / a publicly viewable recording with checked captions / a relevant next event / a staffed question route. State a future publication only if it has actually been committed to.]

**Page updated:** [Date, time zone if useful]. **Questions or corrections:** [Approved public route].

## 3. Internal claim, quotation and media register

Record the source and approval for each item before publishing. A row marked “pending” stays out of public copy.

| Draft item / location | Exact public wording or asset ID | Primary record / version / date | Who confirmed it and when | Approval: pending / approved / removed | Live-page check |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Event date and venue | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] |
| Speaker name and role | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] |
| Session takeaway | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] |
| Public number, definition and cutoff, if used | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] |
| Direct quotation, speaker and context | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] |
| Photo/diagram file, owner and approval for this page | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] |
| Photo caption and informative alt text | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] |
| Recording URL, public visibility and caption check | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] |
| Slides, programme or next-event destination | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] |

For each photo, distinguish the event's internal asset identifier from the final published file. Do not paste private attendee comments or contact lists into this sheet. Use the original controlled record to resolve a question.

## 4. Published-page review

- [ ] A reader can identify the event edition, actual date, place/format and recap subject from the opening.
- [ ] Each takeaway is supported by the cited event record or approved speaker material.
- [ ] Proposed ideas, demonstrated results and organizer conclusions are attributed separately.
- [ ] Any public figure has a definition, source, cutoff and approved wording.
- [ ] Every quotation retains its context and approved wording.
- [ ] Every photo or diagram is the approved asset; names and captions match the event record.
- [ ] Informative images have meaningful alternative text; decorative images are treated according to their role.
- [ ] Any public recording opens without organizer access and its published captions were checked.
- [ ] Every resource link opens the intended public destination; no “coming soon” claim points to a dead end.
- [ ] The page was checked on phone and desktop after publication.
- [ ] The live URL is reachable from the intended event archive or information route.

| Live URL | Reviewer / date | Correction needed | Owner | Retest date / result |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| [ ] | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] | [ ] |

When a correction arrives, update the public page and retest the affected statement, image or link. Keep this internal record aligned with the new public wording.
