How to issue one QR code for a group ticket

1. Fix the scope of the group

Download the one-code group ticket preflight card (Markdown, English)

Record the included ticket type, number of admissions, expected arrival pattern and the person responsible for exceptions. Ticket Tailor offers its group QR option when creating a ticket type or bundle, but cannot put multiple ticket types under one barcode. If your party needs different types or separate arrival, inspect the actual tickets and check-in model before choosing one code.[1]

2. Choose the issuance setting

In Ticket Tailor, open Edit event and tickets, create a ticket type or bundle, expand Advanced settings and choose its group-ticket QR issuance option. These are Ticket Tailor controls, not a standard menu path elsewhere. Set the intended group quantity in your plan, then confirm the resulting stock and issued-ticket record in your own event; a code format alone does not establish the admission count.[1]

3. Inspect a controlled order

Complete a controlled order for several admissions of the same type. Inspect the buyer confirmation and issued-ticket record: count the admissions, the QR codes received and the ticket types represented. Repeat with two ticket types if you sell a mixed order. For Ticket Tailor, expect a separate barcode for each type. Correct the buyer instructions if they imply that one code covers more than the actual credential does.[1]

4. Rehearse the scan

Ticket Tailor's one-QR issuance option is separate from its optional Check in orders as a group device setting. In that device mode, scanning a ticket in an order opens the order items for selection; this behavior is not unique to a group-coded ticket. Staff can select all or individual tickets before confirming check-in, so a scan alone does not mean everyone entered. Test the intended selection, refresh the order and compare admitted with remaining tickets. Rehearse split arrivals with the gate lead and leave the device in the mode your shift will use.[1][2]
