Reorder ticket types on an event buyer page

An organizer may want buyers to see ticket options in a clearer sequence. Reordering changes presentation, not the ticket type’s price, quantity or eligibility. Record the current display before moving anything.

Record the intended sequence

List each ticket type by a stable internal reference, buyer-facing name, group and current availability. Write the desired top-to-bottom order. Keep a separate note if one option should be preselected: a default selection is not the same as display order. Do not move a hidden or sold-out type simply to make it look available; inspect its actual visibility and sale settings independently.

Move options using your provider’s control

Use the supported ordering control for the exact event. Eventually Ticketing documents dragging a tier in Tickets & capacity and saving automatically. Ticket Tailor documents dragging tickets in Edit event and tickets, then selecting Save event. Humanitix offers ticket-type or group ordering, plus an enabled Ticket ordering view that overrides ordering set on the ticket-types page. These paths are provider-specific; after a drag, confirm that the change was saved by the method your platform uses. If another editor changed the list at the same time, reload and compare against the intended sequence before retrying.[1][2][3]

Verify the buyer view and copied dates

Open the public event page as a buyer and read the actual top-to-bottom ticket list, including group headings and any sold-out or hidden options. Check desktop and a narrow mobile view if both matter to buyers. Confirm that the intended option is in the right position without assuming it became the default: Eventually has a separate default-tier star setting, while other providers may behave differently. For duplicated or recurring events, inspect each live buyer page rather than assuming the new order propagated. Eventually says existing generated recurring instances do not change merely because the template order changed. Record before/after order, page checked and the person who approved publication.[1]
