How to route new event ticket order email alerts

A new-order alert helps the event team notice a sale, but it is not the buyer's ticket email or the order record itself. Before adding recipients, find out whether the setting applies to one event or every event in the account.

An order record leads through a provider notification setting to selected organizer inboxes, with a separate verification check against the order record.
Check the setting's event scope and recipients, then compare a delivered alert with the actual order record.

1. Confirm the alert's scope

Download the order-alert scope and delivery card (Markdown, English)

Decide which event team needs an alert and which monitored inbox should receive it. Ticket Tailor sends new-order notifications at box-office scope: recipients added in its Basic settings receive notices for all events in that box office, not only one event. TicketLeap describes a per-event setting instead. Check your provider's scope before adding a person who should not see orders from other events.[1][2]

2. Set the intended recipients

In the provider's order-notification setting, enable the alert and select only current recipients. Ticket Tailor lets the box-office owner receive notices and allows additional email addresses; TicketLeap asks for recipient addresses in the event's Advanced Settings. Save, then reopen the setting to confirm the switch and destination persisted. Do not confuse this organizer alert with the buyer's confirmation or ticket-delivery message.[1][2]

3. Verify and maintain the route

Verify with an approved controlled order or the next legitimate completed order. Compare the notification's event and order reference with the provider's order record; record only the match result in the worksheet. Check the intended inbox and whether an unintended inbox also received a notice. A message arriving late or missing from one mailbox is a delivery issue to investigate, not proof that no order exists.

Name the person who will review the recipient list when staff or events change. Remove addresses that no longer need alerts and repeat the next-order check after an edit. Use the provider's order report for authoritative sales counts; email notifications are a prompt to look, not a reconciliation method.
