How to show remaining event tickets on the buyer page

A remaining-ticket notice is useful only when its number and scope are clear. Before turning one on, decide whether buyers should see availability for a ticket type or for the whole event. Then verify the published buyer view against the inventory record your team actually manages.

1. Define what the count represents

List the ticket types in scope and identify the approved stock record for each. Note whether the event also has a separate overall capacity, reserved or held inventory, or another sales channel. A count beside one ticket type must not be described as the number of places left across the event. If a platform offers an event-wide count, record how that number is defined in its own documentation. Choose the public wording before switching on the notice; do not invent scarcity or imply that a display count is a reservation.

2. Set the supported display control

Find the setting in your actual platform. EventPrime documents a ticket-type option in its Quantity tab, followed by saving the ticket and updating the event. Ticket Tailor documents “Show quantity remaining on event page” under a ticket type’s Advanced settings and says the result appears on checkout. Sticky Tickets documents threshold fields at both ticket and event level; its notice appears when the configured remaining stock reaches the threshold. These are examples of different controls, not one universal menu. Enter only the approved scope or threshold, save, then reopen the setting to confirm it persisted.[1][2][3]

3. Check the buyer page

Open the public buyer page or checkout in a fresh session, using a supported preview if publication is not yet appropriate. Check the exact ticket or event label beside the notice, the number shown, and whether a notice is absent when the configured trigger has not been met. Compare that view with the platform’s current stock record; do not compute availability solely from a sales total if holds or shared capacity affect it. For several ticket types, inspect each visible type separately and check that the page does not present a type count as an event-wide figure.

4. Record the result and review changes

Write down the setting, source stock view, public URL or preview, observed number and reviewer. If the notice is wrong or ambiguous, remove or adjust the display using the platform’s supported control and recheck the buyer view. Revisit the comparison after a meaningful stock or capacity change, especially when sales run through more than one channel. Do not promise a universal update interval or automatic synchronization: verify the behavior of this event’s actual setup.
